Tottenham must bridge credibility gap to end 20-year winless hoodoo at Chelsea

Tottenham are winless in four Premier Leagues ahead of this weekend's fixtures, so the last place they need to go is Chelsea, where they play at lunchtime on Saturday.
Spurs' record at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League era is woeful: no wins in 19 visits to date, just six draws in those 19 games, six points, or 0.32 points per game, and not even a point since August 2008.
Spurs have a worse Premier League away record against only one other Premier League club: Manchester United.
Tottenham have played United at Old Trafford 20 times and never won there in the Premier League era, collecting just three draws, the last of which was in 2005.
Hence Spurs are in danger of an unwanted double: 20 years with no league win at either Chelsea or United.
The last time Spurs won at either ground was in the 1989-90 season, when they won at both, within two months!
Back then they beat United 1-0 in December 1989 thanks to Gary Lineker, and then won at the Bridge, 2-1 in February 1990, again with Lineker on the score sheet.
[NB to MOTD script-writers for Saturday: you can have that for nothing].
Tottenham's full away record in the Premier League, opponent by opponent, is in the graphic below. Their stand-out record is against Manchester City, at City, with nine wins and two draws from 15 meetings.
At the other end of the spectrum, Spurs are not fond of visits to Bolton (one win in 12), Arsenal or Liverpool (two wins in 20 at each), and of course absolutely hate their trips to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge.
