Wolves are bottom of the Premier League table as they prepare to host Chelsea on Wednesday evening, and can draw no solace whatsoever from the clubs' head to head record in the top division since it was revamped.
They have met five times in the Premier League, and the full record is:
20 Sep 2003 Wolves 0 Chelsea 5
27 Mar 2004 Chelsea 5 Wolves 2
21 Nov 2009 Chelsea 4 Wolves 0
20 Feb 2010 Wolves 0 Chelsea 2
23 Oct 2010 Chelsea 2 Wolves 0
Summary from Wolves perspective: P5 W0 D0 L5 F2 A18

If there is a sliver of hope for Mick McMarthy's golden boys, it is that Chelsea have won just one measly game in eight, while Wolves have won three times as many.
In Wolves two and a bit seasons in the Premier League, they have played 26 different clubs and won 89 points in 96 matches before tonight. The full record is in the table below.
Wolves have failed to take a single Premier League point from five of those 26 clubs: Chelsea, Arsenal and Blackpool of the current teams, and Charlton and Southampton of the former teams.
