Liverpool among leading flops as Premier League home points hit all-time low

Premier League teams collectively have won fewer points at home than in any other season in the top-flight's 20-year history.
As the graphic below shows, just 57.3 per cent of all points have been won at home this season.
Typically the figure is just above 60 per cent and it has been as high as 64.7 per cent two seasons ago.
What do Liverpool, West Brom, Aston Villa, Bolton and Wolves all have in common this season?
With two games to go - one at home and one away - all five of those clubs have gained more of their points away from home than on their own grounds this season.
We looked at Liverpool and Villa's record bad home spells here. Liverpool have won five of 18 home games, and Villa have won four.
No doubt deep football thinkers can theorise why home points are so hard to gain this season. Answers on the back of a spreadsheet.
The converse of this, of course, is the rise of the away win. With two rounds of games before the end of the season (20 games) only three more wins are required for a record number of away wins in a Premier League season of 20 clubs.
There have been 112 from 360 matches so far. This has only been topped once: with 114 in 2001-02.
