Djokovic signs up for Queen's 2010, joining Nadal, DelPo and Roddick
8 April 2010
Novak Djokovic, the world No2 men's tennis player, will try to win his first grass court title when he competes at the AEGON Championships this summer after confirming his entry today.
Djokovic, a finalist at The Queen’s Club in 2008 and a Wimbledon semifinalist in 2007, joins three other top 10 players as confirmed entrants: the world No3 Rafael Nadal, the No5 Juan Martin Del Potro and the No7 Andy Roddick. The event takes place between 7-13 June and acts as a warm-up for Wimbledon.
"It would mean a lot to me if I could go one step further than in 2008 and win the AEGON Championships at Queen’s, and then to do well at Wimbledon," said Djokovic. "The grass court season is unique and it is very exciting to play at Queen's because the atmosphere is fantastic and there is so much tradition for tennis in England."
